The Zagreb group of street musicians Kraljevi Ulice (Kings of the Street) have won the Croatian national Eurovision Song Contest pre-selection Dora, and will therefore represent Croatia at this years contest in Belgrade in May.
Their song Romanca tied with Antonija Šola's song- Gdje je srce tu je dom , however the Kraljevi won as they received more points from the jury.
Dora 2008 was arguably the most exciting in the competition’s 16- year history. Guest performer was three-times Eurovision winner Johnny Logan, otherwise known as Mr Eurovision, who entertained the audience with, among others, Hold me know, Why me and What’s another year, as well as joking with the audience and thanking them in Croatian!
Kraljevi Ulice were runners-up at Dora 2006 and 2007, so it truly is third time lucky for them! They perform daily on Zagreb’s main square by the city’s largest market, and are extremely popular.
