Tonight, the Ukrainian national final for the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest was held. Ani Lorak sung all five songs and it was decided that she will perform the song Shady lady in Belgrade.
The song was composed by Philip Kirkorov with lyrics by Karen Kavaleryan, the team that has also written Work your Magic for Koldun last year, who finished 6th in the final for Belarus. Kirkorov has also represented Russia as a soloist in the 1995 Eurovision Song Contest.

Ukraine will take part in the second semi final of the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest in 2008 in Belgrade on 22nd May.
