Ireland: Jedward plans a comeback representing UK

The Irish twins John and Edward Grimes, known as Jedward, are all set for a Eurovision comeback as the representatives of the United Kingdom in the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest.

Jedward have represented Ireland in Eurovision 2011 and 2012, getting the 8th place in 2011 with their song Lipstick. It is Ireland’s best result in the contest since Eurovision 2000, when the emerald isle was placed 6th.

“We know we are already popular in Eurovision and will have support across Britain to represent the UK because of the fan base we got in X Factor. This time, we are in it to win it”, says the duo.

The United Kingdom will launch its biggest quest ever for finding their Eurovision representative, following the failures and low interest during the last years. We will probably see famous and familiar names in the participant list, and Jedward might be one of them.
