As it was announced by ERT executive Mr Johnny Kalimeris during the song presentation press conference earlier this month the Greek broadcaster aims to present a great show for the country's national final which will select the representative for the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest. No less than four Eurovision 2008 participants will be joining Sarbel as guests of the show.

The Greek final takes place on 27th February with Chryspa, Kostas Martakis and Kalomoira fighting it out for Belgrade. The show this year promises to be spectacular with "less talking and more dancing" as Mr Kalimeris announced. The stage is already much bigger than last year in the Athinon Arena, one of the biggest venues in Athens andFokas Evangelinos, the creative director of Eurovision 2006, will be the choreographer of the night.

Apart from Sarbel, the 2007 Greek representative, four of this year's Eurovision Song Contest contestants will appear as special guests on the night: Evdokia Kadi from Cyprus with Femme fatale, the winner of the Romanian final which will take place this Saturday, Elnur Huseynov and Samir Javadzadeh with Day after day from Azerbaijan and Slovenian Rebeka Dremelj with Vrag naj vzame.

The show will be simultaneously streamed live from both eurovision.tv and the official ERT site and it is expected to attract a very large number of international fans.

Thanks to Johnny Logan and Hold me now I fell in love with the Eurovision Song Contest, a love that's been going strong ever since with undiminished passion. My first memories date back to 1977 and the lyrics of Rock bottom, Dschinghis Khan and A ba ni bi are still engraved in my brain. I joined esctoday.com in 2006 as a junior editor after being invited by Barry Viniker, I soon became Senior Editor and during the 2007 contest in Helsinki I was appointed Head of Communications. Today I hold the post of Head of Human Resources and I am proud to be working with the best editorial team in the world.
