Catalin Josan was happy enough to see both of his songs qualify to the Romanian final for the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest. The singer together with his label have decided to withdraw one of the songs so that the public vote will not be split. TVR have filled in the place in the final by the first runner-up of the second semi final, Rednex.

Catalin Josan participated in the Romanian preselection with two songs, Catallin Josan – When we're together which competed in the first semi final and qualified with 217 points and Run away in the second semi final which passed with 206 points. The singer has decided to withdraw the first song from the contest all together so as to increase his chances for a better result as his fan vote won't be split between the two songs. So he will be participating in the final with Run Away

TVR, in order to fill in the vacant 12th place in the final, have decided to enter Rednex ft Ro-maniawith Railroad, railroad. Rednex tied in the second semi final with New Effect ft Gentiana with Zamira. Rednex proceeded, though, as they scored higher with the jury than New Effect.

The draw for the new running order of the Romanian final will take place today and will be announced later.

Thanks to Johnny Logan and Hold me now I fell in love with the Eurovision Song Contest, a love that's been going strong ever since with undiminished passion. My first memories date back to 1977 and the lyrics of Rock bottom, Dschinghis Khan and A ba ni bi are still engraved in my brain.

I joined esctoday.com in 2006 as a junior editor after being invited by Barry Viniker, I soon became Senior Editor and during the 2007 contest in Helsinki I was appointed Head of Communications. Today I hold the post of Head of Human Resources and I am proud to be working with the best editorial team in the world.
