Ruslana burst onto the world stage with her 'Wild Dances' in 2004 by winning the Eurovision Song Contest that year. This was a great achievement for the Ukraine. On a high after her success, there was talk of Ruslana becoming an international star. There were the doubters though, who felt that she, like many other ESC winners, would be quickly forgotten by the outside world.

However, during her recent visit to the Grammy music awards in Los Angeles, Ruslana signed a contract with Warner Records. She has become the first ever Ukrainian artist to sign up with the internationally renowned recording company. The cynics have been proved wrong. She has achieved this, in spite of not releasing much new material, as well as taking a break from her singing to carry out her duties as a Verkhovna Rada (Supreme Council) Deputy in her native Ukraine. Through Warners a new single 'Moon of Dreams' has been released, in cooperation with R&B and hip-hop artist T-Pain. A video for the song will premiere shortly.

Ruslana's next big project is the release of her new album 'Amazonka'('Amazonian') which has been recorded at Hit Factory studio in Miami which has already worked with the likes of Al Di Meola and Berverly Knight. The album will be produced and promoted in the US.

Initially, the album was to be titled 'Wild Energy,' but was changed to 'Amazonian. 'According to the singer, the new album is very different from "Wild Dances.'
