Malta's 2008 Eurovision Song Contest representative, Morena, will be granted a promotional tour by the MaltaSong board. Chairman Robert Abela confirmed to esctoday.com's partner website, escmalta.com that discussions are underway and details will be confirmed after the Head of Delegation meeting in Belgrade next month. In the mean time, Morena will be filming the video for her song.
Morena won the Maltese ticket to Belgrade with her song Vodka on 26th January. She will participate in the second semi final, taking place on 22nd May. This means that the promotional tour will most likely focus on visiting countries in the same show, although MaltaSong have yet to state how many countries will be visited.
Robert Abela discussed the draw with escmalta.com, saying "Having two semi finals this year and the next years to come, is a positive idea which I am sure it will work out well…It would have made no difference being drawn in the first or the second semi final as all countries have good quality songs."
