Ruslan Alehno, the Belorussian ambassador in the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest, visited Athens recently to take part in TV shows on major Greek channels, do photo shoots and experience the Greek cuisine. Esctoday.com caught up with Ruslan during a photoshoot break, we had a chat and even got him to sing Hasta la vista in Russian exclusively for our readers.

Ruslan Alehno, accompanied by BTRC executive Anastasiya Tichanovich spoke to us about the stage the preparations for Belgrade are currently in. Anastasiya stated that certain changes have been made to the song, mainly in the lyrics. There will also be changes in the arrangement and the production of Hasta la vista.

Since he won Eurofest, apart from Greece, Ruslan has already been in Montenegro and Lithuania to participate in the respective national finals as a guest. On the 23rd of February he is going to be in FYR Macedonia for Skopjefest 2008, on the 3rd March in Bosnia. He will also visit Ukraine and he spends a lot of his time working in Russia.

Thanks to Johnny Logan and Hold me now I fell in love with the Eurovision Song Contest, a love that's been going strong ever since with undiminished passion. My first memories date back to 1977 and the lyrics of Rock bottom, Dschinghis Khan and A ba ni bi are still engraved in my brain. I joined esctoday.com in 2006 as a junior editor after being invited by Barry Viniker, I soon became Senior Editor and during the 2007 contest in Helsinki I was appointed Head of Communications. Today I hold the post of Head of Human Resources and I am proud to be working with the best editorial team in the world.
