It seems that Israeli Channel 2, who are producing this year's Kdam-Eurovision for the first time, are taking the matter very seriously. A line of special programmes are scheduled for the Kdam's week, and the show itself is planed to be featured by former Eurovision Song Contest's stars, from Israel and abroad.

According to news website NRG.co.il, Channel 2 promises this year's Kdam-Eurovision to be big and glamorous. The national final will take over 2 nights, on the 25-26th of February. Besides Boaz Mauda performing his 5 entries and former Israeli Eurovision Song Contest entrants, some familiar faces from abroad will be saying hello: Brotherhood of Man, Ralph Siegel, Carola, Selma and even Maltese Chiara, who was beaten by Dana International in 1998, but later on set the record straight with Israel, in 2005.

The first show, on the 25th, will be called Kdam-Eurovision: The Countdown. During which Boaz Mauda's 5 entries will be presented. It is now official that 2 entries will become duets in fact: One with Maya Avraham and another with an unknown singer named Oshrat Phaphir. On the next night, the entry to Belgrade will be chosen, through televoting and juries. We have been brought to knowledge that, most probably, for the first time ever, a team of Eurovision fans, members of OGAE Israel, will all consist of one jury, on their own.

Previous to the Kdam-Eurovision, Channel 2 will broadcast two special shows dedicated to the Kdam and the Eurovision Song Contest: One of them is a special edition of the game show Cash Cab, in which Eurovision fans are tested for their knowledge, accompanied by former Eurovision Song Contest artists. Another show is a special nostalgic humorous homage, presented by Erez Tal.

Despite all that, All 5 songs competing to be sent to Belgrade, will be presented first on IBA's Channel 1, on February 21st. The Eurovision Song Contest itself will also be broadcasted on Channel 1.
