By announcing the five favourite songs of the second semi � final of Eirodziesma 2008, the complete list of the entries for the final event are known.
Just like a week ago, in a live show from the LTV (Latvian Broadcaster) studio, the videos of ten semi final songs were shown. The results were concluded by adding the televoters’ choice to the entries chosen by the jury.
Televoters’ favourites:
- Andris Ērglis – Broken lullaby (7256 votes)
- Triānas parks – Bye Bye (3387 votes)
- Peter Garden & Juris Vizbulis – Memory lane (2303 votes)
Jury’s favourites:
- Aisha – You really got me going
- Kristīna Zaharova feat. Julian – Untill you find a friend
The jury as well as the televoters had chosen Andris Erglis as their ultimate favourite thus it gave the chance for Kristina Zaharova and Julian to enter the final competition. Eurovision fans have probably noticed that some musicians being in the same team last year participate in seperate musical projects in Eirodziesma 2008. It can be said about Andris Erglis, the winner of semi final tonight and Roberto Meloni (Pirates of the Sea), the winner of the first semi final. They both sang from the Eurovision 2007 stage in Helsinki asthe members of Bonaparti.lv. In addition, Kjell Jennstig,the composer of Questa notte, is back on the track again – his song You really got me going will compete for the ticket to the Eurovision final.The final of Eirodziesma 2008 will take place on March 1 in Ventspils, the town that hosts the event every year.
Latvia will participate in the second semi finalof Eurovision Song Contest on 22nd May in Belgrade. Serbia.
