A number of Turkish media have reported lately that Mor ve Otesi has been pressured by the Turkish broadcaster to change the song which will represent the country in the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest so as to add more Turkish and Anatolian elements. In correspondence with esctoday.com the band denies these rumors and considers them as totally false. "Mor ve Otesi and TRT have been working in great harmony since the beginning of the process. TRT has never made any suggestions to the shape or the content of the song, let alone ask the band to make any changes" the band states and adds that it is the duty of journalists to inform the public correctly. These rumors, the band states, violate the ethical principles for journalism.
The song presentation will take place on 15 February as originally scheduled. Stay tuned !
