Tonight, the last chance round of Norway's Melodi Grand Prix was held in Oslo. The performances of the third and fourth placed entries in the semi finals were shown once again and by televoting, another two songs were chosen to participate in the national final this Saturday.

In 2007, Norway was represented by Guri Schanke who finished 18th in the semi final with Ven a bailar conmigo. Itwas the first time that Norwayisdid not takepart in the final of the Eurovision Song Contest since the semi final was introduced in 2004.In 2008, the Norwegian entry will be presented in the first semi final of the Eurovision Song Contest on 20th May.
