Ionuț, the young freckled face kid who features in the preview video of this year’s Romanian entry De la capăt, has joined his mother and father in Vienna. Ionuț father is Călin Goia, the lead singer of Voltaj.
To celebrate this special moment, the family joined the rest of the Romanian delegation at last night’s opening ceremony at the Rathaus. The family spent a total of 40 minutes on the red carpet. During this time the press took the opportunity to take photos and ask questions. Yesterday, we at ESCToday met up with some of this year’s Eurovision artists on the red carpet. Following the reception, Voltaj went to party at the EuroClub which this year is based at the Ottakringer Brewery. During this time, the Romanian singer Christiana Uikiza invited Călin to the stage where they performed the song De la capăt, Romania’s entry in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest.
