Stoyan Royanov was disqualified from the Bulgarian final as it was discovered that his song, Sombero, had been performed on Bulgarian TV last summer, something that clashes with the EBU rules.

Sombero will be replaced in the final by Tired soul by Svetlozar Hristov and Vladimir Dimov as it was discovered it had been broadcast on a Bulgarian TV show in June 2007. The rules of the Eurovision Song Contest dictate that no participating song can have been publicly broadcast before 1st October.

With the eight acts qualified from the semis, the one replacement and the three wildcards, the line-up for the Bulgarian final to be held on 23rd February now looks like this:

1. Simona Sivanio – Obeshtay mi
2. Nikolai Manolov – Po-dobre
3. Dani Milev – Svetlinata i mraka
4. Ivailo Kolev – Should've been the one
5. Te & Preslava Peycheva – Taci vezer
6. Ivan & Stani – You are magic
7. Deep Zone & Balthazar – DJ, take me away
8. Svetlozar Hristov and Vladimir Dimov- Tired soul
9. Generation – Running scared
10. Georgi Hristov & Gianni Fiorelino –Sogno
11. Nevena Tsoneva- Ne izčezvai
12. Desi Dobreva – Strong

A special thank you to Valentin Popov for the submission of the information.

Thanks to Johnny Logan and Hold me now I fell in love with the Eurovision Song Contest, a love that's been going strong ever since with undiminished passion. My first memories date back to 1977 and the lyrics of Rock bottom, Dschinghis Khan and A ba ni bi are still engraved in my brain. I joined esctoday.com in 2006 as a junior editor after being invited by Barry Viniker, I soon became Senior Editor and during the 2007 contest in Helsinki I was appointed Head of Communications. Today I hold the post of Head of Human Resources and I am proud to be working with the best editorial team in the world.
