According to the information obtained from TRT and sources close to Sertab Erener, Turkey's entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2003 will be submitted to TRT for approval on December 20th.

At the moment the entry in consideration is still in its production stage. Sezen Aksu, who is composing the entry, is trying to come up with a melody that is appropriate for Sertab Erener's voice. Further details regarding the nature of the entry are not being disclosed.

TRT has provided the artists with sound recordings and video images of the past five contests. It was reported that prior years' contests are being analyzed down to their finest detail in order to come up with a powerful and ambitious song.

Once the entry is completed, Sertab's and Sony Music's approval will be sought. Finally, the entry will be submitted to TRT for final approval by December 20th. On this particular date, plans, programs and a budget proposal required for the artist's Eurovision appearence, will be submitted to TRT as well.
