Kostas Martakis, one of Greece's Eurovision Song Contest national final, has signed a contract with the Russian Sony BMG. In spring he will release his first single in Eastern European market. It is almost certain that this will be the Russian version of the song that he�ll perform at the Greek final on 27th February.
Kostas Martakis is one of the Greek artists who’ll compete in the country’s final next 27th of February. Known to the Greek public for his participation in the reality singing show Dream Show, Martakis took part in the International Competition New Wave Festival 2007 held in Jurmala, Latvia, where he ended 4th and he won the "Jurmala audience's choice" award.
The singer gained popularity in ex-soviet countries and he has now signed a contract with Sony BMG Russia. In spring he’ll release the Russian version of the song that will compete at the Greek final, entitled Always & forever, composed by Dimitris Kontopoulos and written by Vicky Gerothodorou. Later the artist will release an English album.
Recently he visited the Russian capital, Moscow, where he met his fans, he appeared in TV shows, he gave some interviews and he shot the video clip of his song Oneira megala, a track of his first personal album Anatropi. He’s the first Greek artist who got permission to shoot the clip in historical places of the city such us the Red Square, Kremlin and St Basil’s Cathedral.
