As reported earlier today by esctoday.com, the Spanish national broadcaster TVE has officially announced today the rules and regulations along with the method of selection for the forthcoming Spanish Eurovision entry. Spanish media have been rocked by the announcement that the forthcoming Spanish Eurovision entry will be selected through Myspace. Most of the major Spanish newspapers and news websites are running headline news articles. El País, laguiatv.com, El Diario de Navarra, El Mundo, vertele.com, El Periódico, 20 minutos are among some of the media reporting on the Spanish Eurovision selection.
Spanish singers who are interested to compete in the Spanish Eurovision final are invited to join the special myspace page where they are required to upload their potential entry on audio along with a greeting video portraying their profile. All singers are required to have their own personal myspace pages.Singers will be able toupload their songsin order to compete until Februarythe 10th.The internet viewers will be able to cast their votes from February 11th- 20th,and elect 5 acts to compete in the final. A special expert jury from TVE will elect another 5 acts. TVE will hold its national final on the 1st of March where the 10 acts will battle out for the golden ticket to Belgrade.Spanish viewers will be invited to votefor their representative in Belgrade.
The Spanish musical show No disparen al pianista (Don't shoot the pianist) which is aired weekly on TVE2will be offering Spanishviewers extensive coverage on the Spanish Eurovision selection, thus giving the latest news and details on the upcoming Spanish national final.
