We start with a recap of famous Icelandic Eurovision Song Contest entries.

1. Magni Ásgeirsson – Nuna veit ég

Without Birgitta, the song sounds completely different (also because of a different arrangement) but not worse actually. Magni performs the song veryemotionally and the very simple stage performance works perfectly. The song is probably the strongest ballad among the 12 semi-finalists.

2. Ína Valgerður Pétursdóttir, Seth Sharp og Berglind Ósk Guðgeirsdóttir – Lullaby to peace

The band looks better tonight dressed in black and white on a yellow stage. The song is a matter of taste, it has very much of a choral chant and is pretty repitive although it probably is intented to be that way. The message of the lyrics is universal and always welcome, although it doesn't really offer any new thoughts.

3. Páll Rósinkrans – Gef mér von

There are not many changes to this entry although this time there are only five background singers as required in the Eurovision Song Contest. We have not much experience with gospel music in the Eurovision Song Contest so it is hard to tell how this one would do in Belgrade. But all dressed in black? – That's a bit depressing, isn't it?
