Another country will kick off its search for the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest: in Denmark, the first semi final of Dansk Melodi Grand Prix will be held. Like last year, eight songs will be presented and the four best ones, will go to the national final.
The show
The show starts at 20:00 CET and will be hosted by Camilla Ottesenand Adam Duvå Hall. The winners will be chosen by televoting and the other four songs, along with the eleminated ones of the second heat, will enter a second chance round on Danish radio. Eventually, ten songs will be presented in the national final on 2nd February. The interval acts Aura and The Loft will each play one of their hits.

Voting will be by SMS ONLY! Danish voters need to text 'sang 1, sang 2…. through to sang 8' to the number '1212'. each sms costs 1kr.
DQ finished 19th in the semi final of the Eurovision Song Contest with the song Drama queen, thus not reaching the final. In Belgrade, the Danish representative will enter one of the semi finals.
