The German national broadcaster, NDR, has revealed that Barbara Schöneberger will unveil the official German votes at the Grand Final of the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest.

Following in the footsteps of the previous German spokespeople (Ina Müller, Anke Engelke, Lena and Helene Fischer), it’s Barbara Schöneberger who will announce the 2015 German votes for the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest.

Barbara Schöneberger is a German television host, actress and singer from Munich. As well as hosting the 2014 German national final Unser Song für Dänemark, she also hosted this year’s German national final which took place at the TUI Arena in Hannover.

Barbara will be revealing this year’s vote live from Hamburg where the contest will be broadcast live on the big-screen. In Hamburg on the 23 May, a pre-show leading up to the Grand Final of the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest will take place. The show will be entitled Countdown für Wien (Countdown to Vienna) and will kick off from 20:15 CET. The celebrations will continue after the Grand Final from 00:35 CET onwards with a Grand Prix Party.

This year, Germany will be represented by Ann Sophie at the Eurovision Song Contest in the host city of Vienna. With Germany being a member of the Big 5 and therefore being an automatic qualifier, Ann will compete in the Grand Final on the 23 May at the Wiener Stadthalle with her entry, Black smoke.
