40 countries will be taking part in the 60th Eurovision Song Contest which will be held in Vienna on 19, 21 and 23 May. The next country to be introduced is Australia. Singing for Australia this year is Guy Sebastian.

Guy Sebastian was born in Malaysia and moved to Australia with his family when he was 6 years old. As a child, music was of course an interested of his, but Guy didn’t start to sing until he was 14.

Some might say that that was an late age to start but for Guy this was not the case. Even his entry Tonight again was written just 2 days before the song submission deadline. In 2003 he became a household name when he won the very first series of Australian Idol. This victory led to him to become the only male artist to have ever achieved six number one singles and two number one albums in the Australian chart. To date he holds 43 platinum, 3 gold certifications and over 3 million record sales. He is without a doubt one of Australia’s most successful artists.
