Germany: Unser Song für Österreich; the figures

NDR, the German national broadcaster has released the superfinal results of the German national final, Unser Song für Österreich (USfÖ).

A total of 3.2 million members of the German public watched last night’s event, peaking at 4.38 million. Overall, USfÖ received a total share of 10.3% of the audience.

Throughout all of last night’s show, a combined total of 1.54 million calls and SMS votes were received over the course of 3 rounds. The results of round 3 of USfÖ, the superfinal, were revealed earlier today by NDR and have been listed below.

  • Ann SophieBlack smoke: 21.3%
  • Andreas KümmertHeart of stone: 78.7%

Last night’s German national final saw a dramatic turn of events when the USfÖ winner, Andreas Kümmert, withdrew from the contest shortly after his victory.

Because of this, it was decided that the runner-up of the national final, Ann Sophie, would go on to represent Germany at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest with her entry Black smoke. Germany will compete in the Grand Final of the contest on the 23 May in the host city of Vienna.
