Tonight the Lithuanian broadcaster, LRT, will present the penultimate show in their Eurovizija agenda. Their representative and song were selected last week, and next week will complete the Eurovizija season with a special winners’ concert for their competitors Monika Linkytė & Vaidas Baumila.

About the show

Since the beginning of the year, the candidates bidding to represent Lithuania in Austria this year have performed on stage each week, with one contender being eliminated at the end of every show.

Last week, a collaboration between two of the singers, Monika Linkytė & Vaidas Baumila, were chosen to sing the song This time for Lithuania in Vienna. Tonight’s show will celebrate all the best bits from the past eight weeks, with contributions and interviews from participants in Eurovizija 2015.

Lithuania in the Eurovision Song Contest

Lithuania debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1994 and is yet to win the event. The country’s best placing at Europe’s favourite television show was in 2006 when LT United achieved a 6th placing in the Eurovision Song Contest final in Athens.

The 2015 Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled to be held at the Wiener Statdhalle in Vienna on 19, 21 and 23 May.
