This article will be constantly updated.
After the customary introduction by Ragnhildur Steinunn Jónsdóttir, there is a recap of the songs Ho, Ho, ho, we say hey, hey, hey which qualified last week and Johnny that did not reach the final but will get a second chance in the 12th week.
1. Margrét Kristín Sigurðardóttir (performer and composer) – Bigger shoes
The singer-songwriter'sentry is a minimalistic ballad in English with an interesting arrangement:Margrét, who is playing the pianoherself, is accompanied by alittle classical orchestra. The performance isconfident and seems very professional. She is wearing a classy outfit, and we have not seen many of those in the Icelandic selection so far!
2. Baggalútur (performer, composer: Magnús Eiríksson) – Hvað var það sem þú sást í honum?
Number two is an old-fashioned classic country ballad. The musical style is also reflected in the outfits and the whole stage appearance – its like watching a 1970s US-American music program. It's probably the rightchoice to sing the song in Icelandic which adds some kind of original feeling. The jury compares the sog to When I'm 64 by the Beatles!
3. Seth Sharp (performer, composer: Svala Björgvinsdóttir) – I won't be home tonight
Seth Sharp looks completely different this week; he has obviously watched some Will Smith films. The whole stage looks like a smokey gay night club with some Drag Queens and half-naked maledancers. The disco / club song fits well with the performance and is very catchy.
There is a recap of the three songs and now we have to wait for the results!
