The first Semifinal of Söngvakeppnin 2015 has just ended and Iceland has picked the first three acts that will participate in the Grand Final on February 14th.

The qualifiers are:

• Björn and friends – Piltur og stúlka

• Friðrik Dór – Í síðasta skipti

• Elín Sif Halldórsdóttir – Í kvöld
  [jwplayer config=”BNT” mediaid=”93951″]

The three non-qualifiers will get another chance as after the second semifinal will be held, an expert jury will award one of the six non-qualifiers a final spot.

In 2014 Iceland selected Pollapönk via a national selection to fly the Icelandic flag at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen. The Icelandic group achieved a 15th placing in the final with their entry No prejudice. Who will be this year’s representative? We will find out soon.
