After another exciting program of Hakochav Haba (The Next Star), two finalists had to go home and leave eight acts in the run for representing Israel in the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest.
The three acts who were on the elimination list were Asif, Avia and Lirose. At the end, Asif Zilberman and Lirose Balas were out of the competition, hence the current acts in the run are:
- Avia Shoshani
- Iki Levi & The Rasta Hebrew Men
- Nadav Gadej
- Nava Tehila Walker
- Orit Binsay
- Sa’ar “Rusty” Davidov
- Sari Nachmias
- Yefi & Osher Aricha
The acts above will now battle it out to become The Next Star champion where they will then go on to represent Israel at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest in the host city of Vienna, Austria. The date of the final has not yet been released.
An agreement with the Israel national broadcaster, IBA, was made last year where the winner of the second season of The Next Star would go on to represent the country at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest. You can read more about the show’s process here.
