Last Sunday morning, the fourth heat of the Lithuanian selection for the upcoming Junior Eurovision Song Contest took place. Again jury members and televoters disagreed � Miglė �idlauskaitė won the jury vote and will have a place in the final. The televoters gave Miglė last place and voted first Lukas Gedvilas who took last place in jury vote…
This time the jury consisted of Vytautas Juozapaitis, famous Lithuanian baritone, Eva, who participated in 2004 and 2005 Lithuanian finals for the Eurovision Song Contest and Tomas Sinickis, another Lithuanian final 2005 and 2006 participant with the band “Gravel”. The complete jury vote results:
1. Miglė Šidlauskaitė and “Linksmasis Do” – Noriu (36 points)
2. Sigita Padvariškytė – Mano svajonėse (28 points)
3. Laura Slabadaitė – O, Elvi Presli (24 points)
4. “Nenuoramos” – Jeigu turėčiau sparnus (22 points)
5. Lukas Gedvilas – Vaikystės daina (19 points)
A totally different opinion was expressed by televoters:
1. Lukas Gedvilas – Vaikystės daina (310 points)
2. “Nenuoramos” – Jei turėčiau sparnus (295 points)
3. Sigita Padvariškytė – Mano svajonėse (246 points)
4. Laura Slabadaitė – O, Elvi Presli (245 points)
5. Miglė Šidlauskaitė and “Linksmasis Do” – Noriu (44 points)
The national Lithuanian final for the fifth Junior Eurovision Song Contest will take place on October 21.
