Sandra Oxenryd, who represented Estonia in the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest, is taking part in the current edition of the Norwegian Pop Idol show. The singer, who has already won the show Fame Factory in her home country Sweden, has reached the final 100 and is hoping to find her way back into the music business.
Sandra Oxenryd represented Estonia with the song Through my window in Athens but only finished 18th in the semi final thus not reaching the final. Another singer who is competing in Norwegian Idol is Miriam Mercedes: back in 2000 she took part in the Norwegian national final with the song Trying to forget u but only finished ninth out often participants. The Idol jury includes Benedicte Adrian, one half of the duo Dollie de Luxe that represented Norway in Luxembourg in 1984. With their self-writtensong Lenge leve livet, they finished 17th (third from last).
