4Fun: Of course we would do it again!

Just over a month from the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest, 4Fun lead singer Julija Ritčik spoke to esctoday.com correspondent Arvydas Makselis about her experience and her feelings during and after the contest.

4Fun did not manage to make it directly to the final next year but that will not stop the band from considering participating again, even as soon as 2008. Julija spoke to us about her unique experience in Helsinki, her feelings on the Hartwaal Arena stage and the reasons that might have led to Love or leave coming 21st.

The Lithuanian artist declared that she was surprised and puzzled by this year's winning song, Molitva by Serbian Marija Serifovic. "For example her clothes… Does it mean something? She looked like a man but why?" Julija wondered before telling us who she would have chosen as a winner herself.

Julija, who is a die-hard Eurovision fan, also spoke about her views on the influence of bloc and diaspora voting on the outcome of the contest and the band's plans.

A very special thank you to Arvydas Makselis for the interview.

Thanks to Johnny Logan and Hold me now I fell in love with the Eurovision Song Contest, a love that's been going strong ever since with undiminished passion. My first memories date back to 1977 and the lyrics of Rock bottom, Dschinghis Khan and A ba ni bi are still engraved in my brain.

I joined esctoday.com in 2006 as a junior editor after being invited by Barry Viniker, I soon became Senior Editor and during the 2007 contest in Helsinki I was appointed Head of Communications. Today I hold the post of Head of Human Resources and I am proud to be working with the best editorial team in the world.
