Junior Eurovision: Ukraine's hopefuls

On 26th May, Ukrainian broadcaster NTU held a national semi final for the 2007 Junior Eurovision Song Contest to be held on 8th December. 33 young artists competed and a jury has chosen the best 12 performers for the national final. The complete list was now revealed.

The following 12 singers will compete in the national selection:

  • Karashchuk Vlad (10 years old, from Kyiv)
  • Fresh time (14, 14, 14 and 15 years old, from Vinnytsa)
  • Alina Grosu (12 years old, from Kyiv)
  • Mariyetta Ivanova (11 years old, from Kyiv)
  • Nazariy Shchehelsky (14 years old, from Kamyanets-Podilsky)
  • Khrystyna Barabulya (12 years old, from Kirovohrat)
  • Dmitro Borodin (10 years old, from Donetsk)
  • Yaryna Shust (13 years old, from Brody)
  • Ilona Halytska (11 years old, from Mylolaiv)
  • Valeria Dmytrenko (12 years old, from Kyiv)
  • Vladyslav Belik (14 years old, from Luhansk)
  • Viktoria Petryk (10 years old, from Nerubajske)

Last year, Ukraine competed in the junior competition for the first time. Nazar Slyusarchuk finished equal 8th with his song Khlopchyk rock 'n' roll.
