Dima up for Dream Guy award

Dima Bilan, Russian singing star and runner-up of the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest, is one of several names put forward for the title of Dream Guy in the Elle Style Awards.

Elle Magazine invites readers to select their favourite candidate for the award, and Dimagoes against fellow countrymen Fedor Bondarchuk, Vladimir Mashkov, Yevgeny Plyushchenko, Marat Safin andIvan Urgant in the race to be Russia's Dream Guy. Should Dima be the ultimate victor, the award will be conferred in a special televised ceremony on channel STS this December.

As well as being nominated for national awards, Dima has been busy meeting his growing fan base around Russia and its neighbouring countries lately, including trips to St Petersburg and Riga last week.
