Popular Norwegian duo, Queentastic, who finished in third place at Melodi Grand Prix 2006 with their song Absolutely Fabulous are to release their new single, Drop Dead Gorgeous. It has been selected as the theme song for this year's Olso Pride festival that will take place at the end of June.

Drop Dead Gorgeous was entered for this year's Melodi Grand Prix but later withdrawn after the duo were told tht they would not be able to sing the song. It was also submitted for the United Kingdom but not included in the final line-up for Making Your Mind Up.

The new single is written by Swede Thomas G:Son, who wrote the Spanish and Norwegian entries at the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest, and Maltese lyricist and concept creator Gerard James Borg, the man behind Olivia Lewis' Eurovision Song Contest entry for Malta this year.

G:son and Borg together wrote the flamboyant duo's Absolutely Fabulous which has become a schlager classic after missing out on the Norwegian ticket to Eurovision in 2006. Fans will be pleased to know that Absolutely Fabulous is the 2nd track on the CD single.
