Today, Conchita Wurst is all over the news and internet and she’s one of the most loved in the eurovision scene, but it wasn’t all glitz and glamour back when Tom was a little boy.
Conchita confessed to Gay Times that she was bullied for wearing a dress to school and a skirt for kindergarten. She says that at that mere age, children didn’t know how to name other kids but when the teenage years started to approach it all got tougher. Conchita says:
“I realised that there was something different at about 11, and that I’m not like the other boys and of course I thought there was something wrong.”
The current issue of Gay Times can be bought until 9 July at gtdigi.co.uk or in shops
Conchita Wurst won the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 for Austria thus winning to right to host the 60th edition of the contest.
