Less than two weeks before the Eurovision Song Contest, the head of the French delegation Bruno Berberes spoke to esctoday.com and reviewed all the events after the victory of les “Fatals Picards” who will represent France in Helsinki.

France is showing a new interest for the contest after the new and improved French national selections. But the competition will be hard even if the enthusiasm is growing around Paris, according to Bruno Berberes, Head of the French Delegation.

Bruno also discussed with Yann Charpentier the impact of Eurovision on the French public and media, he gave us an idea of what to expect of Les Fatals Picards on stage in Helsinki and he revealed his favourite entry in this year's contest. He also makes some new suggestions on the way he thinks the countries should be split in the future two semi finals according to the date they joined the contest in the first place.

Finally, Bruno invites everyone to the Big Four party on May 8th in Helsinki.

Thanks to Johnny Logan and Hold me now I fell in love with the Eurovision Song Contest, a love that's been going strong ever since with undiminished passion. My first memories date back to 1977 and the lyrics of Rock bottom, Dschinghis Khan and A ba ni bi are still engraved in my brain.

I joined esctoday.com in 2006 as a junior editor after being invited by Barry Viniker, I soon became Senior Editor and during the 2007 contest in Helsinki I was appointed Head of Communications. Today I hold the post of Head of Human Resources and I am proud to be working with the best editorial team in the world.
