Marija estić, this year's representative of Bosnia-Herzegovina in the Eurovision Song Contest, moves ahead with the promotion of her song Rijeka bez imena, with which she opens the grand finale of the Contest on 12 May 2007 in Helsinki.

Within her promotion tour, Marija visited Belgium and the Netherlands where, together with the contestants from Belarus, Malta and Turkey, she took part in several prestigious Eurovision parties as a special guest in Antwerp and Brussels. Marija's Belgium visit generated great interestwith localmedia, mainly because many Eurovision Song Contest fans still remember her performance of the song In this World (BH Eurosong 2005), composed by the popular Belgian hit-makers, the brothers Mark and Dirk Pealinck. Marija gave a number of interviews during her visit to Belgium to several influential media houses. She participated in the popular show "TVL Studio" on VRT, as well as on Radio 2. One of the highlights of Marija's visit to Belgium was her meeting Sandra Kim (who won the contest for Belgium when she was only 13, hence making it to the Contest history as the youngest winner ever).

Following her visit to Belgium, Marija Šestić, accompanied by Dejan Kukrić, Head of the BH Eurosong 2007 Delegation, visited the Netherlands on Sunday. There she participated in the most popular Sunday TV show "Life & Cooking" on commercial TV RTL4. On that occasion Marija met the Dutch contestant Edsilia Rombley.

The Turkish representative, Kenan Dogulu, was impressed with Marija and her song, and expressed his wish for Marija to be his special guest at his promo tour to start after the Helsinki Contest.

On Thursday, 19 April 2007, Marija left for St Petersburg, Russia, where sheopened a spectacular fashion show (Verica Rakocevic heads the creative styling team for Marija in Helsinki) with the Russian performance of Rijeka bez imena. The song was written in Russian by Natasha Jakovljeva Todorović, a Russian poetess and actress living in Bosnia-Herzegovina for some years now.

A very special thank you to Sanel Hadziahmetovic-Jurida of OGAE Bosnia for the submission of the article.

Thanks to Johnny Logan and Hold me now I fell in love with the Eurovision Song Contest, a love that's been going strong ever since with undiminished passion. My first memories date back to 1977 and the lyrics of Rock bottom, Dschinghis Khan and A ba ni bi are still engraved in my brain.

I joined esctoday.com in 2006 as a junior editor after being invited by Barry Viniker, I soon became Senior Editor and during the 2007 contest in Helsinki I was appointed Head of Communications. Today I hold the post of Head of Human Resources and I am proud to be working with the best editorial team in the world.
