Last night's first London Schlagerparty was a resounding success. The event, held at London's Loom Bar was a sell out and the place was packed to capacity by 21.30. Party organiser, Sara Fredriksson arranged the event and esctoday.com are proud to support the event. After last night's success, plans are already underway for the next event, The Summer Schlager Party, which is being planned for July.

The event, including a glass of champagne on entry and traditional Swedish canapes, held 180 guests and was DJ'd by top Eurovision DJ David Simmons – who will be spinning his disks in Helsinki at the Euroclub semi final afterparty. The event stayed full until the end at 2am.

The music featured some well known Swedish songs from past Melodifestivalen years and songs by former swedish Eurovision Song Contest participants. There was a good dose of Eurovision music mixed into the night including some of this year's songs. Not surprisingly, The worrying kind and Flying the flag (for you) were two of the best received songs of the night.
