Ruslana , the 2004 Ukrainian Eurovision winner and currently a member of the Ukrainian parliament, continues her charity work again this year with a German tour part of the international project Encounters-Alliance for children. She will be touring 15 German cities all over the country together with project initiator Peter Maffay and many other international artists.

Last year, Ruslana was responsible for the Ukrainian part of the project- Chernobyl 2006 – Children of Spring. The entire project managed to raise 9 million euros through a TV marathon and the sales of a special compilation album by all the participating artists. Part of the money was used to purchase medical equipment for clinics specialising in the treatment of children with birth defects as a result of the nuclear accident in Chernobyl. Thanks to Johnny Logan and Hold me now I fell in love with the Eurovision Song Contest, a love that's been going strong ever since with undiminished passion. My first memories date back to 1977 and the lyrics of Rock bottom, Dschinghis Khan and A ba ni bi are still engraved in my brain.

I joined esctoday.com in 2006 as a junior editor after being invited by Barry Viniker, I soon became Senior Editor and during the 2007 contest in Helsinki I was appointed Head of Communications. Today I hold the post of Head of Human Resources and I am proud to be working with the best editorial team in the world.
