Koldun, the Belarus participant in the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest has become the first artist this year to see chart success outside the country that they represent. Work Your Magic has climbed up the Russian chart and is tipped to break into the top 20 in the coming weeks.
Koldun won the Russian Pop Idol competition and is riding the crest of a wave in Russia as well as his native Belarus. He is also riding high across the Eurovision Song Contest polls on the internet and is strongly tipped to become the first Belarus participant to reach the Eurovision Song Contest final.
Last year's Eurovision Song Contest runner-up, Dima Bilan sits at number three, down from second spot last week with his new single, Vremya Reka. His previous release, Nevozmojnoe Vozmojno has also climbed back up to 36.
Koldun will participate in the Eurovision Song Contest semi final on 10th May in Helsinki. The country has never qualified for the final since joining the Eurovision Song Contest in 2004. Angelica Agurbash holds the most successful record so far, finishing 13th in the 2005 semi final with 67 points.
