Conchita Wurst, who will represent Austria at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest, has signed a new contract with a multinational cosmetics company which features a specific clause – the removal of her beard.

The multinational cosmetics company, which specialises in men’s shaving, sent the proposal to Conchita in which the singer would have to advertise the products, eventually ending in the removal of the iconic beard. Word spread that Conchita did not want to miss out on such an opportunity and therefore signed the contract.

The first photo of Conchita clean shaved, was released yesterday afternoon.

 

Will this new smooth look appeal to her fans or will they mourn the loss of this iconic feature?
