Teapacks to sing “Push the button” In Helsinki

In the Israeli national final that was held tonight in Kibbutz Dorot, the song Push the button was selected for the band Teapacks to perform in Helsinki.

The Israelinational final was held tonight in Kibbutz Dorot, in the south of Israel. The bandTeapackspresented 4 songs from which the entry to the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest was to be selected.

The song Push the button was selected by a the combination of televoting and the vote of IBA's Eurovision jury, for Teapacks to sing in Helsinki. Push the button gained the maximum vote from both the televoting centers in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, from the earlier votes on IBA's website Eurovil and from the Eurovision jury. Thus, the song recieved the full 100% whereas the other 3 songs were left with no points at all.

Teapacks leader, Kobi Oz, who also wrote all of tonight's songs, sounded happy with the choice: "I hoped this song will be selected. It has the right vibe and its multi-cultural". At the end of the show, The Finnish cultural attache in Israel presented Teapacks a special invitation to Helsinki.

Teapacks will perform Push the button in the Eurovision Song Contest's semifinal on May 10th.
