Vitaliy Kozlovskiy, winner of the Ukrainian talent show 'Shans', has withdrawn from the Ukrainian national final for the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 due to discontentment over the way the winner will be chosen.

Igor Kondratyuk, producer of Kozlovskiy, said that the rules saying that if there is a tie after the 50% televoting-50% jury results have been given, then the jury's votes will prevail, were unfair, and that there was no point including televoting in the national final at all if it was not going to be decisive.

The withdrawal of Vitaliy leaves 7 participants in the Ukrainian national final, including drag queen Verka Seduchka and superstar Evgeniya Vlasova. The Ukrainian national final will be held on March 9th in Kyiv. Whoever represents the Ukraine will get to start in the final in Helsinki thanks to Tina Karol's top 10 placing in Athens with Show me your love.
