Tonight, the second semi-final of Eesti Laul 2014, the selection process for Estonia to decide their Eurovision Song Contest entry, took place with five more songs going through to the final.

They join Tanja, Wilhelm, Super hot cosmos blues band, Lenna and Körsikud who all qualified from the first semi-final earlier in the month.

The ten finalists will each perform their potential Eurovision Song Contest entries at next weeks final, which will be decided by a 50/50 split jury and public vote.  The top two scoring entries will then progress to a super final before an overall winner is chosen.

Estonia will compete in the first half of the first semi-final at the Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen this May. Last year, Estonia was represented by Birgit Oigemeel, who finished 20th in the grand final with 19 points.

Since their Eurovision Song Contest debut in 1994, Estonia has won the competition once, in 2001 with Tanel Padar and Dave Benton’s entry Everybody.
