Latvian television has received 204 contributions to the search for a logo for the 2003 ESC. That is too much. So now the competition is being split up into two rounds.

Before the deadline of handing in the logo propositions the halls of Latvian broadcaster LTV's buildings were crowded by people wanting to submit their ideas for the competition of logotype of ESC 2003.
However, the 204 contributions are too many for one round, and the competition is therefore going to be split up into two rounds, says Ms Ilona Berzina, international co-ordinator for the 2003 ESC.

A special jury with LTV Managing Director Mr Uldis Grava as the spokesman is going to judge the logotypes. Other members of the jury are Mr Arvids Babris, producer of ESC 2003, director Mr Ugis Brikmanis, artist Mr Laimonis Steinbergs, former general director of the agency “Riga 800” Ms Inguna Ribena, LTV representative Arta Giga and finally EBU representative Mr Juhan Paadam.
