Eurovision 2014: Semi-final Allocation Draw Results

A special draw was held today at Copenhagen’s City Hall in order to distribute a total of 28 countries into one of the two 2014 Eurovision Song Contest semi-finals, scheduled to be held on 6 and 8 May in Copenhagen.

During the draw it was also determined in which half of the semi-final the alloted countries are to perform. A total 0f 37 countries will participate at the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest. 31 countries will compete in the semi-finals, whilst the BIG 5 and the host country Denmark are automatically qualified to compete in the grand final.

  • Spain – (vote and broadcast semi-final 1)
  • France – (vote and broadcast semi-final 1)
  • United Kingdom – (vote and broadcast semi-final 2 )
  • Italy – (vote and broadcast semi-final 2)
  • Germany – (vote and broadcast semi-final 2)

A total of 31 countries will compete in the 2 semi-finals which are scheduled to be held on 6 and 8 May. 16 countries will compete in Semi-final 1 on 6 May, whilst 15 countries will compete in Semi-final 2 on 8 May.

The BIG 5 (Spain, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy) and Denmark (the host country) are automatically qualified to compete in the grand final on 10 May.
