Andorran broadcaster, RTVA, are currently holding a press conference to announce that the the band Anonymous will represent them at the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest in Helsinki. They were chosen from over 80 candidates by a special jury consisting of 10 people from diferent cultural areas desgined Anonymous unanimously. The band was chosen unanimously as the first option for all the jury members. They will participate in Finland with their own song Save the world.
Andorra have turned away from the single female performer Anonymous is a three-piece band made up of Nikki, Alejandro and Gallego. They are 18 and 19 years old boys crazy about his music.
The band was created in Andorra in 2004 when these friends from school decided to become a band following the steps of their idols Blink 182 and Sum 41.
Since the band was born, they have been working to create their own space in the country. Today they have their own fan club and you can find many teenage followers.Their live shows in the opening ceremony of the Small States Olympic Games (Andorra'05) and their performances in many of Andorra’s clubs have become their best credential letter.
The band is also starting to gain promotion in Spain. They have been in several media and they took part in music contest with a lot of succes. They won second place in the Global Battle of the Bands competition and are still taking part in the Emergenza 2007.
At the end of 2006 Anonymous were the opening act in the Falling Kids Tour sharing stage with one of the most emergent teen punk bands in Spain. Only a few months ago the band had his first recording experience when they recorded their first demo CD in the Orion Studios in Andorra la Vella.
Due to Jenny's last place finish in the 2006 semi final with Sense tu, Andorra are still looking to make their Eurovision Song Contest final debut, and Anonymous will attempt to make the dream a reality on May 10th in Helsinki.
