RAI, the Italian national broadcaster has confirmed to esctoday.com the dates for the 2014 Sanremo Song Festival. Preparations are in full swing for the Italian musical extravaganza.

The 64th Sanremo Song Festival will be held in Sanremo from the 18- 22 February 2o14. Fabio Fazio will host the shows throughout the week (Tuesday- Saturday). More details along with the full agenda and the schedule of the song contest will be released at the end of September on the Sanremo Song Festival official website.

It is yet unknown if Italy will opt to select the 2014 Italian Eurovision entry via the Sanremo Song Festival  as has been the case since their return to the contest in 2011. Raphael Gualazzi(2011) , Nina Zilli (2012) and Marco Mengoni (2013) were all selected via this grandiouse musicfest.

22 February-  Final
