Gianluca Bezzina, the 2013 Maltese Eurovision representative will be launching a  cancer prevention campaign with Calamatta Cuschieri.

Gianluca represented Malta at the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest in Malmo with Tomorow, achieving a well deserved 8th place in the final.

Malta’s most loved singing doctor Gianluca Bezzina has teamed up with financial institution Calamatta Cuschieri to start a cancer prevention campaign targeted at youths.

Gianluca, whose Eurovision song Tomorrow catapulted him to local stardom, will front a series of events and initiatives over the coming months to promote healthy living.

I have always wanted to use my singing to contribute positively to society and I hope this initiative helps raise awareness about the little things we can do in our everyday lives to help prevent serious illnesses like cancer, Gianluca said.

Calamatta Cuschieri, a leading financial services company which boasts Malta’s only live web trading platform, will fund the campaign.

We are encouraging youths to invest in their lives said business development director Alan Cuschieri. “Gianluca’s medical background and great personality make him a perfect role model for this project. We hope his charisma will encourage youths to plan for tomorrow, not just financially but even when it comes to their health,” he added.

Calamatta Cuschieri has also sponsored Gianluca’s debut album which will be unveiled on Tuesday July 23rd.

A Facebook competition has been created for a couple of lucky fans to get the chance to attend the official launch and win a signed copy of Gianluca’s album.
