Edyta Górniak, the Polish diva who took second place in the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest
in Dublin with the ballad To nie ja!, will be a special guest at the Miss World welcoming gala
in Warsaw, the capital of Poland, the host country of this year's Miss World pageant.
During a special gala thrown for all participants of the 2006 Miss World competition,Edyta will perform
a specially prepared latest version of her Eurovision Song Contest entry To nie ja!,composed by Stanislas Syrewiczand Jacek Cygan. Edyta Górniak, who released her international album in 1997 is so far the only successfulPolish singer abroad.
With her popular songs, such as When you come back to me, One & oneand Impossible, she managed to hit charts in umpteen countries including the UK, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, South Africa, Japan and South Korea.
Recently, the music media in Poland rumoured about Edyta preparing her come-back on the Eurovision Song Contest stage next year in Helsinki. Eventually, it turned out that Edyta's hint at her participation next year made during one of her gigs in Poland, was only a joke.
