Poland and the Eurovision Song Contest
After somewhat disappointing results, Poland send their last successful Eurovision Song Contest participants to Athens; Ich Troje. In a national final with 10 participants on 21st January, the jury was not as enthousiastic about Ich Troje as the audience, which lead to a tie with Katarzyna Cerekwicka. Because Ich Troje was the audience favourite, the band will again represent Poland at the Eurovision Song Contest.

Ich Troje
Ich Troje celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. At the beginning, it were Michal Wisniewski and Jacek Lagwa who laid down the basis for a group that would sell more than 10 million CDs.

In 2003, Ich Troje came 7th with Keine Grenzen – Zadnych granic. Shortly after the contest, Justyna Majkowska left the group and was replaced by Anna Swiatczak. In Athens Justyna will join Ich Troje again, just like another former band member, Magda Femme. The well-known rapper Real McCoy (real name Olaf Jeglitza) completes the line-up for the band at the 51st Eurovision Song Contest.
