Dave Benton, one of the winners of the ESC 2001, told in an interview that he likes the Russian Northern Girl song the best and holds his fingers crossed for it.

He told that the Estonian song “Runaway” has winning chances of around 80% and it's a good song, but it's not exciting enough.

He also said that it's impossible to predict the winner of the Eurovision and that the thinking that only those songs win that have been made in the so-called euro-measures, is wrong.

For this year's participants he recommended not to forget that millions of people all over the world are watching their act. He added that the first thing the winner of the ESC 2002 should do is to hire a lawer.
